Subscription

One subscription per radio station, your options and your invoices

What is the "Subscription" page for?

The "Subscription" page brings together everything related to the billing of your radio stations: the status of each subscription, available plans, options, payment methods, invoices and cancellation.

You can access it from the profile menu, at the bottom of the sidebar, then "Subscription". The "My invoices" shortcut in the same menu takes you directly to the invoices table.

Good to know: This page remains accessible even without an active subscription — it is precisely where you reactivate a radio station. It is reserved for the main account; sub-users do not have access to it.

One subscription = one radio station

VestaRadio operates on a multi-subscription basis: each radio station in your account has its own subscription, its own plan, its own options and its own renewal date. Subscribing for a second radio station does not cancel the first.

The "Your radio stations" block displays an accordion with one row per radio station. Click on a row to expand it. The header already gives you the essentials: the name of the radio station, a status badge, the renewal date and the amount.

The possible status badges are:

  • "Online" — active paid subscription and radio station installed and broadcasting;
  • "Active" — active paid subscription, radio station not yet broadcasting;
  • "Cancellation scheduled" — the radio station operates until the date shown;
  • "Free trial" — trial period in progress;
  • "Trial expired" — the trial has ended;
  • "No subscription" — radio station cancelled or never subscribed.

Once expanded, each radio station displays "Radio", "Billing" (Monthly or Annual), "Price", then "Renewal" or "Expiry", a "Current period" progress bar with the days remaining, the "Included in the plan" list and the "Active options".

Example

The same account manages Radio Soleil, on air for six months, and Studio Nova, paid for last week but not yet set up. The "Your radio stations" block displays two rows:

  • Radio Soleil — "Online" badge, Monthly billing, its own renewal date;
  • Studio Nova — "Active" badge accompanied by "To install", its own renewal date, its own options.

Click on a row to expand it: "Included in the plan", "Active options" and the "Current period" bar are specific to that radio station.

Why: the two subscriptions are completely separate. Cancelling Studio Nova does not affect the plan, renewal date or options of Radio Soleil.

Good to know: The "To install" badge next to the name means the radio station has been paid for but not yet set up. The "Install this radio station" button takes you to the configuration; until this is done, nothing goes on air.

Adding a radio station or resubscribing

The "Add a radio station" button, at the top of the "Your radio stations" block, opens the "Choose a plan" modal. It contains the "Our webradio plans" catalogue.

  • The "Monthly" / "Annual" selector switches the price display; the annual option shows the number of months included free.
  • Each plan lists its features, followed by an "Options" block: tick the ones you want and the "Total" updates in real time.
  • Options marked "Included" are already part of the plan and cannot be unchecked.
  • The "Programmes" row of each plan is clickable: it expands the list of ready-to-broadcast programmes included ("Ready-to-broadcast programmes included"), with their category and frequency ("7 days/7", "1×/week"…). If the plan includes none, the message "No ready-to-broadcast programme is linked to this plan." is displayed.
  • Below the monthly price, the note "or €X/year (N months free)" is also clickable: it switches the card to annual billing and displays "you save …".
  • Among the options are the additional storage tiers: "+4 GB" (€4/month), "+8 GB" (€7/month), "+12 GB" (€10/month) and "+24 GB" (€18/month). They are cumulative: +4 and +8 give +12 GB.

If you start from an existing radio station (buttons "Subscribe", "Reactivate this radio station", "Activate my subscription" or "Choose a different plan / options"), the modal opens with a banner reading "Subscription for radio station: …". The payment is then linked to that radio station. The "Cancel — create a new radio station" button removes this targeting and switches to creating an additional radio station.

Example

Ambiance FM was cancelled last year. You want to put it back on air, not create an additional radio station.

"Ambiance FM" row→ "Reactivate this radio station"→ Banner "Subscription for radio station: Ambiance FM"→ Plan, options, payment

Why: it is the banner that links the payment to the existing radio station and restores its settings. If you had started from "Add a radio station", you would have paid for a second subscription for an empty radio station.

Tip: Check the banner before paying. Without a banner, the payment creates a new radio station — this is the most common reason for support requests on this page.

Payment methods

Below each plan, the "Payment method" drop-down menu offers:

  • "Credit/debit card" — the button becomes "Pay by card" and takes you to the secure online payment page;
  • "Bank transfer" — the button becomes "Pay by bank transfer"; the subscription is activated by the team upon receipt of funds;
  • "Try 7 days free — no card required" — this option only appears if you are eligible.

The note "No commitment · Cancel at any time" appears below each button.

Once a card subscription is in place, the saved card is displayed in the "Payment method" block of the relevant radio station, and the "Manage on Stripe" button (or "Manage on Stripe" at the top of the page) opens the billing portal to change your card or view the full history.

Good to know: If your subscription was created manually by the team (bank transfer, special case), there is no automatic direct debit: a "Pay my subscription — plan & options" button appears on the radio station to allow you to settle online.

The 7-day free trial

The trial lasts 7 days and requires no credit card. It is offered in the "Payment method" menu only if both conditions are met:

  • you have never used a free trial on this account (one trial per account, for life);
  • you have no active subscription in progress.

During the trial, the radio station displays the "Free trial" badge and the amount is replaced by "Free trial". Two buttons are available: "Activate my subscription" (immediate switch to the current plan, on a monthly basis) and "Choose a different plan / options" to change plan at the same time.

Example

Radio Soleil has been on trial for 5 days: 2 days remain, and the radio station is already broadcasting.

"Free trial" badge→ "Activate my subscription"→ Monthly subscription in place→ No broadcast interruption

Why: the trial lasts 7 days and cannot be renewed — one trial per account, for life. Paying during the trial prevents the stream from stopping on day 8. If you want to take the opportunity to switch to a different plan or add options, use "Choose a different plan / options" instead.

Tip: Don\'t wait until the last day. If you pay during the trial, the paid subscription takes over seamlessly and your radio station never goes off air.

Your invoices and the "Pay" button

The "My invoices" table lists your 20 most recent invoices with their number, date, amount, type ("Subscription" for a recurring amount, "One-time" otherwise) and status: "In preparation", "To pay" or "Paid".

  • The PDF icon opens the invoice to view or download it.
  • The "Pay" button only appears on unpaid invoices and takes you directly to card payment.

When an invoice is awaiting payment, an alert banner is displayed at the top of the page showing the number of pending invoices and a "Pay invoice …" button linking to the oldest one.

Further down, the "Invoices" card for each radio station lists the invoices issued by the payment system for that specific subscription, with a PDF download link.

Example

A bank transfer never arrived: the corresponding invoice remains at "To pay" status and a red banner is displayed at the top of the page.

Alert banner→ "Pay invoice …"→ Card payment→ Status "Paid"

Why: the banner always points to the oldest invoice, the one blocking everything else. And since the payment link is regenerated on every click, you will never land on an expired link.

Good to know: An invoice payment link is only valid for a few hours. That is why a fresh link is generated each time you click "Pay": always use the button, never an old link received by email.

After payment, you are returned to the "My invoices" table with a message: payment recorded, or payment abandoned (the invoice remains "To pay"). The "Pay" button also rejects certain cases with an explicit message: invoice not found, already paid, cancelled, or zero amount.

Good to know: A quote drawn up by the team does not appear in "My invoices" and cannot be paid online until it has been converted into an invoice. Once converted, it follows the normal process: "To pay" status, "Pay" button.

Adding options during a subscription

On a radio station with an active paid subscription, an "Add options" block lists the options available for your plan that are neither included nor already active.

These options are billed on a pro-rata basis, up to the end of the current subscription period, in a single payment. The calculation is straightforward:

  • the system counts the number of full months remaining before your renewal date (minimum 1 month);
  • each option is billed: monthly price of the option × number of months remaining;
  • the breakdown is displayed below each option, and the "Total" updates as you tick.

The "Add selected options" button remains disabled until at least one option is ticked, then displays the number of options and the amount. A confirmation is requested before payment.

Once paid, the option is active until your subscription renewal date, then renewed along with it.

Example

Radio Soleil is paid up to 15 April. Today is 20 January and you want to activate an option mid-period.

  • the block shows "Billed on a pro-rata basis until the renewal date of 15/04/…" and counts 3 months remaining;
  • below each ticked option the breakdown is displayed: monthly price × 3;
  • the "Total" updates with each tick, then a confirmation reminds you of the number of options and the amount before payment.

The monthly price of an option depends on your subscribed plan: read it below the option, where it is shown with its calculation.

Why: the option ends on exactly the same date as the subscription, then is renewed along with it. You are never left with two offset billing schedules.

Good to know: This block only appears on an active paid subscription. During a trial, after a cancellation or on a radio station without a subscription, use "Choose a different plan / options": options can then be ticked directly in the modal.

The "additional storage" option

When the storage gauge approaches 90%, the "Add storage" button on the "Storage" page takes you directly to this block. Four tiers are available, billed on a pro-rata basis like other options and then renewed with the subscription:

  • "+4 GB" — €4/month;
  • "+8 GB" — €7/month;
  • "+12 GB" — €10/month;
  • "+24 GB" — €18/month.

The tiers are cumulative, including across multiple radio stations on the same account: two radio stations each with "+8 GB" give a total of +16 GB on the shared pool. The total quota displayed on the "Storage" page then reads "X GB included in your plan + Y GB from options".

Good to know: Accounts that only have the Radio Website or the Mobile Application, without a webradio plan, have a base allowance of 5 GB for publishing their content. This base allowance does not stack with the quota of a webradio plan: an account whose plan includes 8 GB keeps 8 GB.

Changing plan

On a radio station whose paid subscription is charged online, the right-hand column offers the "Change plan" button. The "Change plan" modal shows at the top "Radio station: …", "Current plan: …" (monthly or annual billing) and the renewal date, then displays the catalogue with the "Monthly" / "Annual" selector. The current plan carries the "current" badge.

  • Click on a card, or on "Choose this plan", to select it; it switches to "Selected".
  • The options on the card can be ticked: as the modal indicates, "Tick or untick options: the amount recalculates and you can stay on the same plan while only changing the options."
  • An option from your current plan that does not exist in the new one is flagged "Option(s) unavailable on this plan, therefore removed".

Before confirming, a summary box shows the amount (options included), the options added and removed, and then the effective date:

  • Upgrade (or switch to annual billing) — "Immediate effect": "the new plan and its limits apply straight away", and the online payment bills today\'s pro-rata amount up to your renewal date. If you change billing cycle, a new billing cycle starts on the same day. The unconsumed pro-rata of removed options is credited on that same invoice.
  • Downgrade (or switch back to monthly) — "Effective on …", at your renewal date: "you keep your current plan and all its features until then, nothing is charged today". The change can be cancelled up to that date.

Confirm with "Confirm change" (the button shows "No change" as long as nothing differs from your current situation).

A scheduled change is then displayed in the radio station\'s accordion: "Plan change scheduled: switching to … on …", with the reminder "You keep your current plan and all its features until then", the list of "Option(s) that will not be renewed" and the "Cancel this change" button. If you reopen the modal, it warns: "A change is already scheduled: confirming here will replace it."

Example

Radio Soleil is paid up to 15 April on a monthly plan. Two decisions, two timelines.

  • Upgrading to a higher plan to reach more listeners from tonight: "Immediate effect". Today\'s invoice only covers the pro-rata for the weeks remaining until 15 April; after that, the new rate is charged normally.
  • Downgrading to a lower plan for the summer: "Effective on 15/04". Nothing is charged today, the radio station keeps its current limits until 15 April, and "Cancel this change" remains available until then.

Why: an upgrade takes effect immediately because you pay the difference; a downgrade waits until the renewal date because the current period has already been paid — you never lose a service you have paid for.

Good to know: The "Change plan" button is hidden in four cases: the radio station is on a trial or has no active paid subscription, a cancellation is scheduled, the subscription is not charged online (bank transfer, manual setup), or your radio station benefits from a custom price. In these situations, use "Choose a different plan / options" or contact support.

Removing an option

In the "Active options" block, each paid, non-included option has a "Remove" link. A confirmation explains what will happen, and the removal is then scheduled.

The removal takes effect at the end of the already-paid period:

  • the option remains fully usable until the renewal date — you have paid for this period and benefit from it until the end;
  • it is removed from your billing immediately: the next invoice is reduced accordingly;
  • at renewal, the option is no longer active and the corresponding service stops;
  • no refund or credit is generated, since nothing is lost.

The removed option then displays a "Removal scheduled — active until …" badge accompanied by a "Restore" link. As long as the renewal date has not passed, this link cancels the removal: the option returns to normal renewal, with no additional charge.

Example

Radio Soleil is paid up to 15 April and has the "Radio Website" option at €9/month. On 20 January, you click "Remove".

  • the radio website continues to work normally until 15 April;
  • the 15 April invoice is reduced by €9: only the base plan is renewed;
  • if you change your mind on 3 March, "Restore" reinstates the option and it will be charged again from 15 April.

Why: cutting the option immediately would mean losing a service you have already paid for. Removing it at the renewal date aligns the end of the option with the end of the paid period.

Good to know: Options marked "Included" are part of the plan: they cannot be removed separately. To remove them, change plan via "Choose a different plan / options". After the renewal date, a removed option can be purchased again normally from the "Add options" block.

Cancelling a radio station

Cancellation is done radio station by radio station. Expand the relevant radio station, then use the "Cancel this radio station" button in the right-hand column. A confirmation reminds you that the radio station remains active until the end of the current period.

After cancellation, the radio station switches to "Cancellation scheduled" and a box shows "Cancellation scheduled on …", with a "Reactivate" link that opens the billing portal.

Your other radio stations are not affected: their subscriptions continue normally.

Good to know: The "Cancel this radio station" button only exists for paid subscriptions charged online. For a subscription set up manually by the team, please contact support.

What happens at the renewal date

Depending on the status of the radio station, the message displayed in the accordion and the actual consequences differ:

  • Trial ended — "Trial ended — reactivate to resume broadcasting. Your settings are preserved." The radio station is paused and broadcasting stops. Your music, jingles, playlists and presenters are kept for 30 days; beyond 30 days without a subscription, the radio station and its data are permanently deleted.
  • Subscription cancelled — "Subscription cancelled. Resubscribe to restart broadcasting." Broadcasting stops on the displayed expiry date, not before.
  • Radio station without a subscription — "This radio station has no active subscription. Subscribe to put it on air." It exists in your account but does not broadcast.

In all three cases, the radio station\'s action button takes you back to the plan catalogue, and broadcasting resumes immediately once payment is confirmed.

Example

Ambiance FM completed its free trial without subscribing.

Day 8: "Trial expired" badge→ Broadcasting stopped→ Settings kept for 30 days→ After that: permanent deletion

Why: during these 30 days, music, jingles, playlists and presenters are still there: a payment puts the station back on air without having to rebuild anything. After this period, everything has to be started from scratch.

Tip: You will receive reminder emails before and after the renewal date. If you are planning an interruption, resubscribe before the end of the 30-day retention period: after that, everything has to be rebuilt from scratch.
