An advertising spot is a short audio message (15 to 60 seconds) designed to promote a product, service, event or business. It is the central element of radio advertising, which you can sell to your advertisers.
This feature requires the "spots" permission: if you are a sub-user, your administrator must have granted it to you.
Where to find spots?
Go to the Production > Spots menu. The page is laid out in two columns:
On the left, an add panel with two tabs: "Upload" to import one or more existing audio files, and "AI Creation" to generate a spot using text-to-speech synthesis.
On the right, the table of your spots, with filters: search by title, filter by status ("Active", "Draft", "Archived") and by category. Each row has an "Active / Draft" toggle to enable or disable the spot.

The "Upload" panel and categories
The import panel is shared across all production pages (spots, jingles, voice tracks, segments, podcasts). It supports drag-and-drop or click; accepted formats and size limits are displayed on the panel: "MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A (converted to MP3) • Max 250 MB". Each file receives a title (derived from its name), a category, and the "Active by default" status; a cover image can also be added.
Replace by name — if a file has the same name as an existing production, the "Replace Existing Productions" window opens: "N file(s) share the name of an existing production and will replace it (file + info updated, no duplicate)", and "Other files will be added normally." Confirm with "Replace and Upload". This is the correct way to update a version without affecting the playlists that use it.
Category cover image — in the "Categories" panel, each category accepts an image ("Add an image" / "Change the image", JPG, PNG or WEBP, 5 MB maximum). The help text explains its role: "Image displayed next to the title in the radio player. Without a cover, the category image and then the radio logo are used."
Deleting a category — the "Delete Category" window shows the number of "file(s) in this category" and asks "What should be done with the productions in this category?": "Delete the category only" ("Productions are kept and moved to 'No category'") or "Delete the category AND the files" ("Permanently deletes all productions in this category.").
Move — from the list, a selection can be moved to another category using "Move to…".
Good to know:
A deleted production is moved to the trash on the "Storage" page and continues to use your storage space until you empty it (see the "Storage" tutorial).
Creating a spot with AI
In the "AI Creation" tab, click "Generate the spot" to open the creation form. Fill in the following:
"Spot title" (required): an internal name to identify it.
"Voice" (required): the text-to-speech voice, selected from the side panel (offcanvas).
"Intonation": "Standard" by default.
"Background sound": "No background sound" by default.
Advanced settings: voice volume (50 to 200%), intro and outro silences (0 to 5000 ms), background sound volume (5 to 50%).
"Spot script" (required): the text to be read aloud, entered in the text area.
A counter continuously displays the word count, character count and estimated duration, as well as an "Estimate: X credits" figure.

Writing the script with the AI assistant
If you need inspiration, click "Generate with AI" to open the script assistance modal. There you can fill in:
"Advertising template": a list of templates, "free" by default.
"Spot description" (required): what you want to communicate.
"Tone": Dynamic, Professional, Warm or Urgent.
"Duration": 20, 30 (default) or 45 seconds.
The AI then writes the script, which you can review and adjust before generating the audio.
Generate, listen and download
Once the script is ready, click "Generate the spot". Each generation automatically produces two versions: "Voice only" and "With background sound".
Download both versions at once with "Download ZIP".
Listen to or fine-tune the result with "Edit the production".
If you modify the text, voice, intonation or background sound, use the "Regenerate" button to restart the production.
You can also duplicate an existing spot to quickly create a variant.
Tip:
A good spot answers three questions: What? For whom? Why now? Aim for around 75 words for a 30-second spot — avoid overloading the message.

Credits
Text-to-speech synthesis consumes credits: 1 credit = 3 seconds of audio. While typing, the "Estimate: X credits" figure is calculated by rounding up the number of words divided by 2.5 (to estimate seconds), then dividing the seconds by 3. The actual rate is applied at generation time, based on the final duration of the spot.
Good to know:
AI creation requires an active subscription or a credit balance greater than zero. Without this, you will be redirected to the offers page. Importing an existing MP3 via the "Upload" tab does not consume any credits.
